ACHZIV BEACH (04-9827788)
This beautifully maintained stretch of sand in the Achziv National Park is just north of Nahariya, on the road to Rosh Hanikra. Beside the ruins of the ancient settlement of Achziv, there are two huge lagoons along the shore, one shallow, the other deep. There are also watchful lifeguards and playground facilities. In July and August, turtles lay their eggs on the beach. You can picnic on the grassy slopes or make use of the restaurant.

Achziv National Park [1] (sometimes called Akhziv) is a great way to spend an afternoon. The park's entrance fee, ₪35, includes access to the secluded beaches, nearby Crusader Castle, picnic areas, and restaurant - when it's open. This beach is known for its abundant sea life, including sea turtles during July and August when they come ashore to lay their eggs.
The Achziv National Park Beach is a must, It was first settled in the Middle Canaanite (Bronze) II period by thePhoenicians.[1] In the Bible, it is described as falling within territory assigned to the tribe of Asher. An Arab village, Az-Zeeb, was established on the site during the Mamluk period.
Rosh Hanikra, the stunning white chalk cliffs to the North, are a must if in the area
Achzivland. In the 70's Eli Avivi, an Israeli hipster, declared this piece of land next to the Achziv National Park an Independent nation. Avivi's micro-nation has not been officially recognized by the Israeli government, but he will stamp your passport if you enter through the foreboding fence that surrounds this tiny bit of land. Achzivland boasts is own private beach, a cheap hostel, and a museum.
